Easy pancake batter- makes 8 English pancakes
Ingredients
1 large egg
½ pint milk (280ml)
4oz/110g plain flour (4 heaped dessert spoons)
1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- By hand: sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle. Break in the egg (and yolk, if using) and add a pinch of salt and a splash of the milk. Whisk the egg, gradually incorporating the flour, to make a smooth cream. Whisk in the rest of the milk and the melted butter.
- With a blender: put all the ingredients in a blender jug with a pinch of salt. Whizz until smooth.
- Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes then pour it into a boiling hot pan. Wait for the pancake has formed and FLIP!

RIP- Whitney Houston passes away just before Valentine’s Day
It’s a sad day for Moon Bingo fans as we wake up to the story that diva Whitney Houston died last night. The pop and soul singer and actress passed away aged only 48 years old, in a hotel room in Beverly Hills.
The Bodyguard actress and singer, who is known for her alcohol and drugs misuse and her rocky former marriage to singer Bobby Brown leaves behind one daughter- Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown, who is 18 years old. Whitney Houston has died just days before Valentine’s Day, a day in which her ballad-”I will always love you” is a special song for people all around the world, and before the Grammy Awards, due to take place next week, where she was rumoured to be performing.

Celebrities all over the world have been tweeting their condolences last night and this morning. Mariah Carey, who performed her Oscar hit When you believe with Witney Houston in 1998 told followers. “‘My heartfelt condolences to Whitney’s family and to all her millions of fans throughout the world. She will never be forgotten as one of the greatest voices to ever grace the earth.’ Rihanna tweeted, “‘No words! Just tears. I honestly can’t think of anything else!!! Feels so strange being at the Grammy rehearsal right now!!’
