Foxydevil 82 has been busy in the kitchen, and has just sent us this late entry for our Fairytale Dreams promo! The promo ends at the end of the month, so you’ve just got a couple more days to win yourself a fabbie Kenwood, one of the most useful kitchen gadgets you’ll ever own! We love your entry Foxydevil, I’ll be whipping myself up some Cinnamon Banana Bread tonight!

Cinnamon Banana Bread

Ingredients

3 -4 smashed bananas

1/3 cup melted butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg beaten

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp Baking soda

2 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 cups of self raising flour

Pinch of salt

Method

Heat oven to 175c

Mix butter and bananas together then add in sugar beaten egg and vanilla,

Sprinkle into mixture salt and baking soda and cinnamon

Seive the flour into the mixture and fold in.

Bake for 1hr in the oven in a square cake tin or loaf tin.

Win a Kenwood Food Mixer – A Recipe Entry – Yummy Cupcakes!!!

This “Moonalicious Vanilla Cupcakes” recipe is from pam1tg. This means pam1tg  is now officially in the draw to win the Kenwood Food Mixer for this months Fairytale Dreams promotion. pam1tg, feel free to drop one or two OR TEN of these yummy scrummy muffins at my house. They look gooooooooooooorgeous.

 Ingredients for Cakes:

 8oz of Self Raising Flour

8oz of Caster Sugar

8oz of Unsalted Butter

4 Eggs

1 Teaspoon Of Baking Powder

1 Tablespoon Of Vanilla Extract

24 Muffin Cases

 

Ingredients for Icing:

 

1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

1 cap of pink icing

6oz of icing sugar

3 tablespoons of milk

rice paper

edible ink pens

Sprinkles

Instructions For Making The cakes:

 

Step 1 :Whisk Ingredients together for 15 Minutes By Hand, This will Take 5 Minutes if Using An Electric Whisk.Once Mixed and to a Pale Fluffy Consistency you are ready for step 2.

Step 2 : Place a table spoon of mixture into each of your 24 muffin cases.

Step 3.: Place in the centre of a preheated fan oven for 15 minutes at 150 degrees

Step 4: Take cakes out of the oven and leave to cool for 30 minutes

 

Instructions for Toppings:

 

Whilst waiting for the cakes to cool you can begin to make the toppings.

 

Step 1: 6oz of icing sugar, 4oz of butter, 3 tablespoons of milk , one cap full of pink food colouring and one teaspoon of Vanilla Extract then mix together to a thick consistency.

Step 2:  Rice paper and Edible Ink Pens and create bingo balls .

Step 3: Decorate your cupcakes with your pretty pink icing, lucky bingo balls and lucky sprinkles.

Step 4: Enjoy !!

Fairytale Dreams – Our 1st Recipe Entry For Kenwood Food Mixer Draw!!!

Chicken and Noodle Stir Fry by dream109

Ingredients needed: Chicken breast, stir fry vegetables, fresh rice noodles, salad dressing and prawn crackers

How To:

Dice and fry the Chicken.

Add the vegetables, fry for a while.

Add the rice noodles and cook until hot.

Put on a plate, pour a choice of salad dressing over it to keep it light and serve with Prawn Crackers.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe for the weekend! (and for your belly!)

cookiesLooking for something to make you happy AND keep the kids quiet? Give this recipe a go and you’ll be smiling and munching away in no time!!

Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Ingredients:

250g plain flour

1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1/2 teaspoon of salt

170g butter, melted

200g dark brown soft sugar

100g caster sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 egg yolk

350g chocolate chips

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 170C / Gas mark 3 and grease your baking tray

2. Sift the flour, bicarb and salt and then set aside.

3. In another bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and caster sugar until its well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk until its light and creamy. Then mix in the sifted mixture from before.

4. (The best bit) Stir in the chocolate chip cookies by hand with a wooden spoon.

5. Drop half the cookies onto the baking tray and eat the other half of the mixture immediately as cookie dough!!! (mmmmmmm yummy)

6. Bake for 15-17 minutes and then take them out and cool them on a wire rack. Or eat them hot!!! (mmmmmmm yummy)

Moon Fairy's Chocolate Cake RecipeAre you a chocolate lover? If the answer is yes then you will love this chocolate cake recipe. It is absolutely delicious…only problem is once you start, you just can’t stop!!!

Ingredients needed

Oil for greasing

300g dark chocolate broken into pieces

150g unsalted butter

6 eggs

50g caster sugar

Vanilla ice-cream (or whichever ice-cream you fancy)

Getting started

Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas 4. Grease the base and sides of a 20cm round cake tin and line with greaseproof paper.
